Playing with Javascript

I’m trying to decide if I want to use javascript or to keep it simply PHP.  I’ve been looking at the jQuery library and it seems to be robust.  I’ve got some reading to do to get my head around the way they all work together.  As I get into the development my ‘todo’ list just k eeps growing but I hope to have a featureless prototype ready by the end of the month.

Good news on the Hosting

My son had bought 3 years of hosting but never really did anything with the site.  I took a look at what the host had to offer and it’s linux based and has access to a mySQL server which is what I’m using for my development.  So I’m taking of over the hosting account.  This is perfect for my needs and because of low funds it works with my budget.

Thanks Bub.

Now I’m starting on the user forward interface. I’ve been using the Eclipse PDT IDE. It seems powerful and the Zend debugger has served it’s that I’ve set the editor to emulate EMACS I’m happy with it. I really like PHP. I’ve gotten the backend data collection part of the site working now.

Well it’s been almost a month since I got my hours cut by 2/3rd. I’ve posted my resume to the usually places but only seem to get calls from companies that are looking to sell financial advice. I am working on an idea for a new web site. So between job apps and my current clients I’m working on the site. Who knows maybe it will be the next “BIG THING”.
